Focal Point Ministries has been serving the local church in Illinois, Iowa, and Wisconsin since 1994. It’s heartbeat is to resource, train, and equip the local church in ministry to and through its men. We believe the Bible is clear that a man’s role is pivotal in the life of his family and in society in general. We also believe that the local church is the most vital connection-point in a man's life and spiritual growth-walk with Jesus Christ. Within the context of the local church, a man joins in community with other Christ-followers to be trained, equipped, and resourced to be a servant-leader in every area of his life. Having served the local church for 18 years, Focal Point Ministries has become a trusted field ministry impacting thousands of men in a three-state region.

Roy Abbott heads up the ministry team. As an ordained minister of the gospel, Roy regularly engages men all over the Midwest. His trademark transparency puts men at ease and often gives him the opportunity to share the redemptive power of Jesus Christ in almost any setting. Roy and his wife Kim reside in Fulton, IL. They have three grown children, two daughters-in-law and one granddaughter.
